GRANT SUPPORT
Our Mission
We aim to provide a range of accessible activities for young people from deprived backgrounds in areas with high indices of deprivation, including poverty, crime, and poor education and health outcomes.

Target Audience: Our focus is on young people who are disengaged from school, at risk of exploitation, and vulnerable to gang grooming—individuals who would typically not have opportunities like this due to financial constraints.
Target Areas:

-
Slough
-
Chalvey
-
Britwell
-
Colnbrook
These areas experience higher-than-average national rates of:

-
BME population
-
Child poverty
-
Poor health
-
Crime/Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)
-
Lack of social cohesion
-
Low educational attainment
Objectives:
-
Build Cohesion: We facilitate interactions among diverse groups through engaging activities, fostering understanding and breaking down barriers by exposing youths to different cultures, religions, and lifestyles.
-
Empower Youth: By engaging them early on, we aim to divert them from crime and ASB, helping them reach their full potential through the development of new skills, confidence, and essential life skills.
-
Address Health Challenges: We also focus on tackling mental and physical health issues within this demographic.
Heathrow Community Trust’s Projects for Young People, and Communities Together grants programme. Funding to provide up to 160 opportunities for people from underprivileged areas, vulnerable populations, and those suffering from mental health issues to participate in kayaking and canoeing experiences.
